There’s nothing quite like a long weekend in Amsterdam, strolling along the canals and doing some shopping in the Negen Straatjes (Nine Streets). And what about a bike ride in Vondelpark, catching a museum or exhibition along the way? While you’re at it, why don’t you enjoy a quick drink and a bite out in the sun? And after a busy day in the city, all you want is to freshen up in the shower. And as a BnB host, I feel that you need luxury personal care products for a truly relaxing shower. At first, I opted for Rituals. While I loved their branding, I wasn’t convinced by the products.
Fortunately, I saw the error of my ways, and I went on a quest for a product that would meet all my sustainability & luxury requirements: little plastic, no pesticides and a sumptuous experience for my guests.
I’m pleased to say that I found the perfect product!
The Dutch (!) brand Marie Stella Maris has it all. Refillable designer bottles that you can have filled at their brand store, so you don’t even need a plastic refill bag anymore. The product contains no microplastics, is entirely vegan and is made almost entirely of ingredients of natural origin (96%!). On top of that, Marie Stella Maris donates a certain percentage of profits to water projects in Africa.
I admit, I’m crazy for branding, which is why my favourite BnB scent is called: Objets d’Amsterdam! What’s in a name?
